Yes
The Great Barrier Reef, Queensland, Australia is located in the Southern Hemisphere as it is South of the Equator. Also, it is in the Eastern Hemisphere as it is to the East of the Prime Meridian.
Well obviously considering it is an island ;) to the West is the Indian Ocean and to the East is the Pacific Ocean, there is also the Southern Ocean to the South of Australia. there are also a number of seas, these include; the Tasman sea which is between Australia and New Zealand, to the North East is the Coral sea, just to the North is the Arafura sea and finally to the North West is the Timar Sea.
The Southern Ocean surrounds the Antarctic continent, about 750 miles north of the South Pole.
Australia lies between several seas and oceans. Australia's western half is bordered by the Indian Ocean, and the eastern coast meets the Pacific Ocean. To the north are the Timor and Arafura seas, to the northeast is the Coral Sea and to the southeast in the Tasman Sea. To the south of Tasmania is the Southern Ocean, sometimes called the Great Southern Ocean or the Antarctic Ocean.
West of Australia is the Indian Ocean and to the east is the Pacific Ocean.South of Tasmania and Australia's southern coastline is the Southern Ocean.North of Australia are the Timor and ArafuraseasTo the southeast, between Australia and New Zealand, is the Tasman SeaTo the northeast is the Coral Sea.Not coming under the heading of either "seas" or "oceans" are also the Gulf Of Carpentaria in the north and the Great Australian Bight, which is essentially a wide, open bay which is part of the Southern Ocean.Between the mainland and Tasmania is Bass Strait while between Cape York in Queensland and Papua New Guinea to the north is Torres Strait. The only oceans which do not touch Australia's shores are the Atlantic and the Arctic Oceans.
To the east is the Pacific, to the west is the Indian Ocean, to the south is the Great Southern Ocean, and to the north are the Timor, Arafura, and Coral Seas.
The Southern Ocean is located around the South Pole The other ocean closest to it is the Pacific Ocean - but the Southern Ocean is the closest
All the other oceans are North of the Antarctic.
Due to ocean currents
The Indian ocean is an ocean that does not touch North America. The Pacific ocean is on the west coast, the Atlantic ocean is on the East coast, and the Arctic ocean touches the north part of the United States.
