Opinion 1:
The best attractions in New South Wales, in my opinion, are in Sydney. Circular Quay, where you will see the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House, and Darling Harbour is just around the corner. Sydney is a beautiful city, and well worth visiting.
Opinion 2:
The Rocks is Sydney's oldest suburb, and a fascinating place to visit for people with an interest in history. The ferries on Sydney Harbour, and Cockatoo Island are also interesting attractions.
There is, of course, more to New South Wales than just the city of Sydney. Moving out beyond Sydney, some excellent attractions are:
The Sydney Opera House - Sydney The Parliament and Old Parliament Houses - Canberra Sydney Harbour Bridge - New South Wales The Three Sisters - New South Wales The Great Barrier Reef - Southern Australia For more see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_Landmarks
The Three Sisters are a famous rock formation in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia.

New South Wales is not a country. New South Wales is a state in the country of Australia.
New South Wales is a state in Australia, originally named by Lieutenant James Cook as it reminded him of southern Wales. The entire eastern coast of Australia was given this name, but now New South Wales refers to just one of the states in the eastern half of the continent. The capital city of New South Wales is Sydney.
