Three basic necessities that are essential to human survival are food, shelter and water
Survival human rights include the rights to life, food, water, shelter, and basic healthcare. Thrival human rights encompass rights that enable individuals to reach their full potential, such as education, freedom of expression, and participation in cultural life. Both sets of rights are essential for human dignity and flourishing.
a) a respect for individual rights
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights emphasizes the importance of upholding principles such as equality, dignity, and non-discrimination. To protect human rights through law, it is essential to have clear and enforceable legal mechanisms in place that guarantee these fundamental rights for all individuals. Additionally, ensuring access to justice and accountability for violations is crucial for upholding human rights in practice.

Fundamental rights are essential because when you are deprived of those rights, you are going to be very unhappy about it (or dead). Those governments which do not respect human rights take the viewpoint that the unhappiness or death of individuals does not matter to them, since (as Napoleon said) you cannot make an omelet without breaking a few eggs. In other words, what is essential to some people may not be perceived as essential by other people. We all get to decide what is essential to us. That said, most people would very much like to enjoy certain fundamental rights. The right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" as stated in the Declaration of Independence, remains as good a summary as any, of the fundamental rights that we would like to have.
Thrival Rights according to the book Living Justice and Peace, are things like education, employment, a safe environment, and enough material goods to support a family. They are pretty much things that you don't need to survive in this world. Those would be Survival Rights. Survival Rights are things like food, shelter, and basic healthcare.

Many youths in the Philippines have no human rights. They have a very low income and are preyed upon by human trafficking goons. Many of them live in slums without the necessities that we all live with every day.
