Supercells
squall line thunderstorms.
Yes. Intense thunderstorms have high cloud tops, and they higher they go the colder they get.
Tornadoes are themselves violent weather events. They ar intense whirlwinds spawned by thunderstorms. Since tornadoes depend on certain weather conditions to develop, climate affects how often tornadoes occur in an area.
Air mass thunderstorms are formed when two different air masses converge. When a cold front meets a warm front, an air mass thunderstorm develops. These can be very intense thunderstorms and last several hours, and may produce tornadoes, though not always.
typically spring cause that's where tornadoes occur that was sometimes produce by intense thunderstorms that produce significant activity that even involves hail
Such thunderstorms are called supercells.
supercells?
A tornado is a violent weather events, specifically a very intense, rotating wind storm. They are produced by strong thunderstorms.
A tornado is a violent swirling funnel that usually happens in very intense thunderstorms. They form when thunderstorms start rotating due to interactions with wind shear. This rotation then tightens and intensifies to form a tornado.

Hail and tornadoes are not directly related to one another. Storms that produce hail do not necessarily produce tornadoes and vice versa. Very often hailstorms are of a class of thunderstorms called supercells. Supercells are the most powerful thunderstorms on earth with updrafts that can exceed 100 mph. These updrafts can keep pieces of ice airborne, circulating them between areas of the storm that are above and below freezing, adding a new layer of ice with each cycle to form a hailstone. However, what characterizes a supercell is that this strong updraft rotates, forming what is called a mesocyclone. If the rotation in the mesocyclone is strong enough it can develop into the tighter, more intense circulation of a tornado. The majority of tornadoes, including all but a handful of the strong ones, form from the mesocyclone of a supercell.
Cumulonimbus is a type of cloud often associated with intense weather and thunderstorms.

Yes it can get some nor'easters and violent thunderstorms and also very heavy snow and intense cold.
