The Quakers were very friendly people who resided mainly in Pennsylvania founded by William Penn, who was also a Quaker leader. The Quakers would be the most democratic, least strict, and most tolerable and open-minded religious group of colonial America. They didn't believe in slavery or war, had good relations with the native Americans, believed in the freedom of speech of women, and held meetings that represented the people (democratic).

I doubt that there are any completely unique qualities about Quakerism.

For example,I expect some other groups take decisions without ever voting yet seek unity rather than conformity or unanimity. I suspect there are other human groups that try to live as if all people are of equal worth no matter how rich or poor or important they are.

Quakers did not belive in war. Quakers belived in the ONE TRUE GOD. Quakers did NOT believe in slavery. Women had far greater responsibilities in a quaker family then in a puritan family.
