Trust points are points you can gain on WikiAnswers, to show that you are a trustworthy member of WikiAnswers, that your contributions are worthwhile, and very well done. Taken from the Help Center:
Trust Points enable you to vote for a WikiAnswers member whose contributions you think are worthwhile and legitimate.
It is important to note that Trust Points are not a good measurement of how much you can trust the answer to a question. They are simply an indication of how trusted the last contributor is as a member of the WikiAnswers community.
All answers should be critically considered. For reliable advice of any sort you need to consult a qualified professional in your local area. Please see our Terms Of Use for more details.
Trust Points do not account for any special rewards, or deals; however, the more you have, the more respected you are in the eyes of others, and, the better your work is. Currently, as mentioned in the Help Center, there is no facility to subtract Trust Points, as this would only complicate matters further.

The badges on the website answer is trust points. You can get these from doing things on that website.
Most people answer questions in only one language, so the situation does not come up very often, and the system is not designed to apply trust points to more than one account. Honestly, we do not answer questions for the trust points, we answer questions because we like to help people (and to advertise our erudition). This does not really require trust points. Those are just an embellishment.
I don’t know. You trust it? Yes. You don’t trust it? No.
