∙ 9y agoA one-sided tag is a tag that does not have a companion. A companion tag is <p></p>. A one-sided tag is <br/>. HTML 4 and older accept <br> as the tag for a line break. To comply with HTML 5 standards you can include the closing tag within the one-sided tag, such as <br/>.
