the Holocaust started almost two years after the war started. (unless you are one of those people who call it the 'thirty years war' ie. 1914-1945)
The Reformation is generally considered to have begun in 1517 with Martin Luther's Ninety-Five Theses, while the Thirty Years War started in 1618. This means that approximately 101 years passed between the two events. The war was significantly influenced by the religious tensions that arose during the Reformation.
The Thirty Years' War began in Bohemia, where a group of Protestants took two Catholic officials and threw them from a window. This was known as The Defenestration. The officials survived the fall after landing in a pile of horse manure, and the Catholics declared that their survival was a miracle of the Virgin Mary.
In the years following the Thirty Years War, the Hapsburg Empire expanded to include parts of Hungary and Transylvania. The war's conclusion solidified Habsburg control over these regions, further enhancing their influence in Central Europe. This expansion was part of a broader effort to consolidate power and stabilize the empire after the devastating conflict.
