I have been using a whitening toothpaste regularly and now the inside of my lower lip and lower gums feel exessively dry and even taste like the toothpaste. I feel the need to run my tongue over the inside of my lower lip and gum area, even the underside of my tongue tastes like the toothpaste and has a slightly different feel to the texture. I'm going to stop using it immediately because I feel it is too harsh for daily use and since this has happened, I won't use it going forward. I'd rather use whitening strips on occasion which are limited to the tooth area and do a great job, I think even better than the whitening toothpaste. In addition, I've read that too much usage of whitening toothpaste can dull the enamel on your teeth.
