mechanical and chemical digestion
lysosomes
The Proventriculus is half of a birds stomach. It does the chemical digestion half of the work. The other part of the stomach does the phyical digestion half. I do not know the name of this half.
There are two forms of digestion: mechanical and chemical digestion.
Mechanical digestion refers to the physical action of breaking down food into smaller parts.
the major part of the chemical digestion is the HCL (hydro chloric acid)
Every part of the mouth aids in digestion. This includes the tongue and teeth. The mouth is responsible for the first part of digestion.

lysosomes
Amylase is primarily produced in two parts of the body: the salivary glands and the pancreas. In the mouth, salivary amylase begins the process of carbohydrate digestion by breaking down starches into simpler sugars. Pancreatic amylase is released into the small intestine, where it continues this digestive process. Both forms play a crucial role in the digestion of carbohydrates.
lysosomes
The two parts of the alimentary canal responsible for chemical digestion are the stomach and the small intestine. In the stomach, gastric juices containing hydrochloric acid and enzymes break down proteins. The small intestine further continues this process, aided by enzymes from the pancreas and bile from the liver, which help digest carbohydrates, proteins, and fats into absorbable nutrients.
