Midnight Mass- after all it is Christ's Mass we are celebrating!=- The Christmas Crib or creche- i.e. the Nativity scene of the stable in Bethlehem. There are some elaborate outdoor versions of this in some European countries- particularily in Austria- some have animated figures- shepherds, animal statues, perhaps the Mule wiggling his ears... at one time they had a Live Animal Creche at or near the St. John's apartments in Jersey City. Long time ago, but it did attract traffic.
