All Muslims believe in one God.

All Muslims believe that God revealed his plans and instructions for proper living through his prophets and their writings.

Beyond these things, not all Muslims are unified. There are two main factions to Islam, these being Sunni and Shi'ite traditions. This rift has existed since shortly after the Prophet died.
