The most common zebras (the plains zebra) are about 4 feet high at the shoulder, and 6 1/2 to 8 1/2 feet long. Grevy's Zebras are about 5 feet tall at the shoulder, and 8-9 feet long. Mountain Zebras are about 4-5 feet tall, and are 7-8 1/2 feet long.
Zebras natural habitat is grasslands where they are able to hide easily. However, when confronted they can just from as high as 30 feet up and as high as 3 feet into the air.
