Much of Bangladesh is at low altitude. There are also numerous south pacific islands threatened by encroaching sea levels. The industrial world should prepare to receive a big influx of immigrants from these areas of the world. Large parts of Holland are already below sea level. The Dutch like building big dykes from behind which they pump out all the water, reclaiming large tracts of land from the sea. Rising sea levels and more violent storms will make breaches of these dykes more likely. Not within the next few decades, but within the next few centuries, as earth's population soars ever higher.
