What authority enforces the standards set by the Canadian electrical code?
In the United States the National Electrical Code, or NEC, is the standard for most electrical installations. It is a document prepared by the National Fire Protection Association which is not a government organization. The NEC becomes a set of government requirements when a government entity, often a city or county, adopts the NEC as its standard.
It is a set of standard practices called the "National Electrical Code"
The Occupational Health and Safety Administration enforces work health and safety laws.
Since the requirements for the Office of the President are set forth in law, it would be some agency of the Executive Branch of Government which enforces it. In actuality it is the political parties that first vette their candidates to ensure that there will be no 'mistakes' that would disqualify their candidate.
You'll find all that in the owner's manual.
