I own a 1993 camaro Z28 with the 5.7L motor. had mine rebuilt recently and it was a 4l60 (700R4). I believe in 1994 they changed over in the z28 to the electronically controlled auto tranny which is designated 4l60E. You can check your RPO codes in the glovebox to tell you what tranny You have. They also tell you what axle ratio the car has and lots of other thngs. There is a website on the net You can go to to match the codes. Just Google Camaro RPO codes and you should find it.
4l60e
The LS1 and LT1 designations are for the engine not the transmission. A 1993 Camaro Z28 would have originally been fitted with an LT1 engine. Available transmissions behind the LT1 would have been the Borg Warner T-56 (manual), or the 4L60E (automatic).
yea but its a pain. better off finding a stick car
4l60e
4l60e transmission and they suck i own a 94 z28 replaced 3 of em
4le60
It came with the 700r4 automatic.
25-1a
4 spd 700r4
The ONLY transmission that came in the 1991 350 Z28 was a four speed Automatic 700R4. IF it has a manual it was added by someone.
yes you could get automatic or manual trannys.
either a 700r4 automatic or a borg warner t5 manual
