A comet was seen
The Bayeux Tapestry shows Halley's comet, Harold and his people seeing it with fear in their eyes. The omen may have helped William win, but I have never read that there actually was an effect on the battle, or even on the morale of Harold's army, so asserting it happened might be going a bit too far.
in the year of the Battle of Hastings 1066 Harald sigurdson (Otherwise known as Hardrada) of Norway was the first to land in England with an invasion force and was defeated at stamford, but the battle of hasting was fought between Harold godwineson of England and the invading army of William of Normandy
Harold Godwinson lost his best solider during the battle of StamfordHarold's men had to go south to fight the Normans;which meant they were tiredThey haven't got advanced weapons
It helped because first he went to Harold's army to fight then he got some news that William came. Harold went to London got some people and then they walked to the south and they got tired. William had luck to fight against him and a tired army.
I think that Harold godwineson was a very bad leader he chose a good spot to fight and fought well even at the disadvantage he had (like marching 400km from one battle to other, and losing half of his men at previous battle as well. All of his men were tired, weak and had nothing to eat or drink for a while. William, his opponent, had definitely out powered him, although Harold had more men, they were mostly peasents and farmers!)

i don't think there was a castle at the battle, but after the battle then the new king William had an abbey made in honour or that he felt bad about killing king Harold and where king Harold fell to his death it is said that the high alter marks the spot of his death, the castle of hastings on the sea front was one of the 1st castles to be erected by William i don't think there was a castle at the battle, but after the battle then the new king William had an abbey made in honour or that he felt bad about killing king Harold and where king Harold fell to his death it is said that the high alter marks the spot of his death, the castle of hastings on the sea front was one of the 1st castles to be erected by William

The word omen is not a bad word
I think that Harold godwineson was a very bad leader he chose a good spot to fight and fought well even at the disadvantage he had (like marching 400km from one battle to other, and losing half of his men at previous battle as well. Harold Godwinson was a good king because he was loyal and made great use of being what he was. Harold became king because Edward the conqueror married his sister and he was the closest relative to the throne. but unluckily shortly after he became king he was killed in the battle of Hastings in 1066.
Because the English King, Harold made a big mistake which lead to William of Normandy and his army (later William I of England to win the battle and become King of England
This can be a good or bad omen. If you don't like bees it is a bad omen however if you appreciate their role in nature it can be a good omen.
It's not an omen it is carelessness or bad luck.
In different societies and cultures, bats have been regarded by some as a "good omen" and others as a "bad omen".
