Pilots fly through all kinds of bad weather. The most serious would be lines of thunderstorms. Small planes should land; jets can fly around the storm.
Pilots DO fly above the troposphere (no opinions) because the flying conditions are better and there is a lot less weather.
So they know if it's safe for them to fly.

Weather Radar are used. A weather radar helps a pilot to find out about the weather conditions while flying and they anticipate any changes in the weather.
Only very special pilots who have gone through a lot of training will get to fly this aircraft.
A weather plane is a plane that fly's through hurricanes.
They are called, "Pilots".
pilots train by first going through tough theory first then they go through flight simulation and get a feel for what there going to be flying and then the take a plane with an instructor and go for a fly :)
If they are pilots they should. ;)
