3volt Lithium coin battery (CR1220) on my '96 clio it has 2 thin 3 v stacked on top each other
Not exactly. But the voltage regulator can let too much voltage reach the battery. Check: 1. Using a voltmeter, check batt voltage at rest. Should read +- 12.6 V. 2. Check voltage at idle. Should read +-13.6 V. 3. Increase motor speed. Should not go over 14.5 V (that's the use of a volt. reg.). If so, could be a faulty volt. reg. A persistant over 15 V. output will ruin the battery.
Any 12 volt battery that fits the space provided and can be securely mounted. The more CCAs the battery has the better.
Follow the red battery cable which will eventually lead you to the starter.
if you changed the battery of the car recently you might need to get the keys re programed for the cars immobilizer
Loosen the timing belt adjustment pulley located on the side of the engine. When the pulley creates enough slack slide the new belt onto the cams. Make sure the cams are aligned correctly.
Two wire connection in the fob. Open and check both wires are fix in place.
If the 1100 battery fits in the gun then it will work. What you will find though is that the battery will not last as long as the 1150 between charges.
V(reg) = I [( Re Cos θ)] + [( Xe Sin θ)] / V
