A:There is no evidence that genealogy records for the Jewish people were ever held in the Jerusalem Temple. Bear in mind that at the time of Jesus, there were several million living Jews, in Judea as well as the diaspora in Galilee and elsewhere in the Near East, plus Egypt and Rome. Without any assistance from computers, it would have been a task beyond human capability to collate the birth records of each and every one of these people, identifying each new arrival to his ancestors, who would quickly have thousands then millions of descendants. Moreover the destruction of the Temple by the Babylonians would have meant that no one would have been able to trace his ancestry before about 600 BCE. Evidence of this is provided by the conflicting genealogies of Jesus provided in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke, of which Raymond E. Brown (An Introduction to the New Testament) says there is little likelihood that either is strictly historical.

There may have been records in the Temple going back several generations in the genealogies of the Temple priesthood. If so, these would have been destroyed by the Romans in 70 CE.

What is in the temple of Jerusalem?

The Israelite/Hebrew/Jewish Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed by the Romans in 70 CE. It stood on the place called the Temple Mount / Har HaBayit, of which the Kotel ("Western Wall", "Wailing Wall") is the only surviving component. So there is presently nothing in the 'temple of Jerusalem', as there has been no temple of Jerusalem for over 1900 years.
