Ladybugs mate by getting on top of each other. The one on the bottom should be bigger. If it is, that's the female. The male is on top and he holds on tightly. They mate for 1-2 hours depending on the species. The Female will lay her eggs 2-3 months After mating.

A ladybug's behaviour isn't aggressive, it just happily flutters around from places to places and sometimes gets a little frustrated when it can't find it's food.
