∙ 12y agoThis question is highly opinionated, and really depends on the individual person. For some, a dog would suit them more than a cat. For others, a cat would make a better pet than a dog. It all depends on the individual's personality and lifestyle.
A dog is very loyal and would always be there for you but they might be difficult to take care of while a cat is easy to take care of and they don't make as much noise as dogs but half the time they are out somewhere without you so they are not very loyal

∙ 14y agoit all depends on the type of person you are, if you are looking for a pet that you don't have to be around 24/7 you should get a cat, unless you would like to walk your pet and if you are getting a dog its best to have a big garden for it to play unless its a small dog, what ever you feel best about is the type of pet you should pick it does not even have to be a cat or dog

∙ 14y agoIn general, cats are more independent than dogs. A dog is almost always happy to see you when you walk in the door even if you have only been gone for 10 minutes. Cats will generally greet you when you come home from work, school, etc. but they are not nearly as happy-go-lucky as dogs.
Really the answer to your question is a matter of opinion. Most people prefer one pet or the other. For instance, for me personally a cat would be a better pet because I prefer cats. I like dogs but I love cats. If you are thinking about getting a pet the choice is yours. Both dogs and cats are a huge responsibility and they can be a handful at times but believe me they are worth it!
