What beliefs do Christianity and Islam share?

Christianity and Islam share the believe there is just one God. They share most of the stories from creation until Abraham/Ibrahim. They share the fact that Jesus was a special person (Islam: Jesus was an important prophet, Christianity: Jesus is the Son of God and saviour of the world).

They share the value of family-life, the value of trying to live good to please God.

Both religions share mainly monotheism; that is worshiping same God and as the one and only one God; the Creator. Also:

1. Both believe in the devil and satin
2. Both believe in all God prophets Adam, Abraham, Noah, Jacob, Isaac, Moses, ..., and Jesus. (However, Christians don't believe in Prophet Muhammad).
3. Both are widely believed religions.
4. Both believe in God's angels.
5. Both believe in the last Day of Judgment.
6. Both believe in Paradise/Heaven and Hell.
7. Both believe that no one enters Paradise/Heaven by own deeds/merit but rather by God Mercy and forgiveness.
8. Both believe in eternal life after earthly death.
9. Both call for good morals and tolerance
10. Both forbid adultery, robbery, unjustified killing, cheating and lying.
11. Both religions are similar in practicing mutual respect to their believers. Qur'an says (meaning English translation): ".... You will find the nearest in love to Muslims those who say 'we are Christians'. That is because amongst them are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world and they are not arrogant. And when they listen to the Quran revelation received by the Messenger (Muhammad), you see their eyes overflowing with tears because of the truth they have recognized. ... So because of what they said, Allah (God) rewarded them ...." [Quran, chapter 5, verses 82-86]
