The greenhouse effect happens when gases such as CO2 or CH4 are present so they trap heat in the atmosphere...
Green house effect is like what is happening on the planet venus. Heat goes into the planet, but does not leave, making the planet warmer and warmer. Earth has a slight green house effect, but not as dramatic as the NEWS would let you know.

What is the process by which gases in the atmosphere absorb and reradiate heat?

Greenhouse Effect

What is a sentence with greenhouse effect?

The greenhouse effect is the natural way that the Earth keeps warm. Too many extra greenhouse gases turn the greenhouse effect into an enhanced greenhouse effect. The enhanced, or accelerated, greenhouse effect is causing global warming.

The trapping of heat by a planet's atmosphere is called what?

it allows solar radiation to penetrate to the surface!

What is another name for enhanced greenhouse effect?

The greenhouse effect is the natural process by which greenhouse gases keep the earth's temperature at a comfortable level suitable for human existence. The enhanced greenhouse effect is the increase in greenhouse gases that is leading to global warming. The term "enhanced greenhouse effect" is also referred to as the "anthropogenic greenhouse effect" and is the idea that humans may have an effect on global climate. It is also referred to as the "runaway greenhouse effect".

Trapping of heat in the earths atmosphere by certain gases is known as the?

greenhouse effect

How do you use The greenhouse effect in a sentence?

the greenhouse effect is a global phenomenon.

What do humans do to effect the greenhouse effect?

The greenhouse effect keeps us all warm enough for life. The enhanced greenhouse effect causes global warming.

When did the Greenhouse effect start?

The Greenhouse effect started long before humans were on Earth. The Greenhouse effect is only intensified by the presence of humans.

The effect is the process by which gases in the atmosphere trap heat?

The greenhouse effect

How is the greenhouse effect caused on a molecular level?

The greenhouse effect is caused on a molecular level by the greenhouse gases combing, thus forming the greenhouse effect and that's what causes it to be on a molecular level.

What planet has an atmosphere with a greenhouse effect?

EarthVenusMarsThe greenhouse effect occurs on every planet with an atmosphere (including Earth). On Venus, there is a runaway greenhouse effect causing temperatures high enough to melt lead.Mars has a greenhouse effect that is weak because of its thin atmosphere.

What is the definition of 'greenhouse effect' that relates to science?

The greenhouse effect is the working of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere that capture and retain the heat of the sun. This has kept the atmosphere warm enough for life for millions of years. The sun's infra-red radiation radiating out from the warmed surface of the earth warms greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, methane and even water vapor.
