John 20:26-31
The name Thomas means "twin" in Aramaic. In the Bible, Thomas was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus. He is often known as "Doubting Thomas" because he initially doubted Jesus' resurrection until he saw and touched the wounds of Jesus.
At John 20:24-27 Jesus told THOMAS to put his finger in the wounds.
Saint Thomas wanted to see the wounds of JESUS CHRIST in His hands and His legs and to touch these wounds to make sure that JESUS who was crucified Has really risen from the death ,and JESUS made him touched His wounds to make him sure that He was really JESUS CHRIST who was crucified. And after touching JESUS wounds,Saint Thomas believed that JESUS CHRIST has risen from the death...
Thomas, also known as Doubting Thomas, did not believe that Jesus had risen from the dead until he saw and touched Jesus's wounds for himself. Jesus appeared to Thomas and invited him to touch his wounds, after which Thomas declared his belief.
There is no passage of scripture that says that
That was Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus. Otherwise he was known as "Doubting Thomas," and "Saint Thomas." Upon seeing the resurrected Jesus, he said, "My Lord and my God." (John 20:24-29)
Thomas the Apostle, who doubted Jesus' resurrection and demanded to feel Jesus' wounds before being convinced.
Thomas initially could not believe Jesus was present with them after crucifixion. His doubts quickly disappeared when Jesus spoke to him and invited Thomas to touch His wounds.
