The grassland (savannah) biome has grazing animals. This often results in overgrazing, which can lead to the damage and/or destruction of grasslands.
The greatest problem animals in any biome have is human interference and destruction of habitat by humans.
If you can consider space a biome, I imagine that would be the place with the least amount of animals.
Large herds of grazing animals are found in temperate grasslands. The grasslands have rich, fertile soil to support the large herds.
