You can use any gentle, fragrance-free soap for cleaning your hands and body. Look for soaps that are pH-balanced to maintain the skin's natural barrier. Avoid soaps with harsh chemicals or fragrances that can irritate the skin.
Yes they are effective. Only difference which you might see in these bar soaps is that most of them will have a relatively high pH as compared to corresponding body wash. High pH soaps might be little tough on skin and might not work on people with sensitive skin. People with sensitive skin might also face dryness with regular use. Even if you wish to use an antibacterial bar soap, it would be good to prefer the body wash variant.

nahhh! dont use hand soap or body soap or shampoo to clean ur face lol!! some facial soaps may dry out ur skin and just increase acne. Personally, i use Spectrogel!! Its the best soap eeevvvver for ur face! u know why?? this soap doesnt have parfume. Those things dry out ur skin and create acne. Make sure that the soap ur using is JUST RIGHT FOR UR SKIN TYPE! I hope this helps :P ------------------------ Not all the soaps are good for anything and any skin or hair. Ask a cosmetician or a dermatologist, and read the technical data of the soap from the label.
Having your hands sterile a majority of the time is not always the best thing for your skin. By eliminating the good bacteria on your skin that regulates viruses and such things, you are making yourself more vulnerable. Use sanitizers and soaps in moderation!
yes it is good for the core skin
i used soaps earlier ... but it caused dryness and a sort of itching to me.. hence i now use bodywash. not only they are soft on skin , but give same effect as soap , with a nice fragrance. For me bodywash is a better alternative of soaps.
it is good for your skin

all soaps are alkaline, use a detergent. you didn't say what it was for, but for handwashing Dove and Zest brands of bar "soap" are good detergents in bar form. There are many others. Ivory brand is a soap, not a detergent, but it is advertised for purity so it should have negligible unreacted lye; but its still slightly alkaline.
