The digestive process begins in your mouth. Food is partly broken down by the process of chewing and then by the chemical action of salivary enzymes. These enzymes are produced by the salivary glands and they begin to break down starches into smaller molecules.
Once swallowed and in the stomach, the sack-like organ churns the food and bathes it in gastric acid. Food in the stomach that is partly digested and mixed with stomach acids is called chyme.
Any food that has sugars, carbohydrates, or any other form of energy. Just about all the food you eat.
the digetive system brakes all the food up and then the circularity system pumps the broken down glucose round the body.
Your body breaks down food so that it can get the nutrients into usable form.
Digestive system brakes down the food to elementary particles. These are absorbed in the blood stream. These elementary food particles pass to body via circulatory system. At the proximal end of the capillaries food particles enter the interstitial compartment. They go to each and every body cell. Body cells then utilize the food particles, as per need.
We need organs as they have a special task to do in our body. They are there for a reason. Each organ system has a different job. For example the digestive system brakes down your food into nutrients your body can use while your cardiovascular system carries materials all over the body.
Digestive SystemHow it works in the bodyThe digestive system breaks down food into nutrients or glucose that the body and the body cells can use. Which leads onto stuff about the Circulatory System and The Skeletal System. Hope this helpsKawey8:)
the stomach only brakes down foods a little bit but it is up to your intestines to brake it all down properly and to get all the nutrition out of the food.
Your Stomach and your intestines Hold The Food In Your Body. But Your Mouth Chews The Food Down.
Your teeth chew it, then you swalllow and your acids in your body break down the food.
it breaks down
Enzyme is one of the body chemicals that break down food. It is ready in your saliva before you eat. Bile, or stomach acid also breaks down food during digestion.
Your body breaks down the food you eat into a form of sugar called glucose.
