GHP is an awsome race brand. I ride at my local track every Tuesday with my friend Randy Stumpfhauser who is a Factory GHP rider.
Decathlon is chain of French sporting goods stores, and they sell "their" brand of bicycles as well. Has nothing to do with the track & field discipline called decathlon.
Depends on the track if the track has shorter straightaways a speedway bike is faster if a track is longer a flattrack bike is faster. due to the fact you have to let off the gas in the straightaways and gas it in the turns on a speedway bike. Of course you could gear you speedway bike for longer tracks and be competitive
it depends, what brand is it
Well, a track bike is a bike dedicated for use on a velodrome. It has a fixed gear, no brakes, often a steel drop bar and some other features. But with a but of determination you can stick a fixed gear rear wheel in any kind of bike. The wouldn't make it a track bike, but would make it a fixie. If you want to be hard core in your fixie riding, the "purest" is of course to ride a track bike in traffic too.
Not if you're riding with care. Skidding can damage the surface though. And whoever that's in charge of the track might not want to share it with bicyclists.
a track bike, or a bike with internal hub gears.
