As long as both the dogs came from reputable breeders and good family lines you shouldn't have any problem. German Shepards are a breed that is notoriously commonly bred in puppy mills, which creates horrible dogs loaded with behavioral problems. As long as you know that the dogs are from good sources and their breeders have a good reputation and can supply you with information about their parents and other dogs and all is good you shouldn't have a problem.
