Definatly not most terrier breeds, like beagles, which like to dig. Other then that, most dogs will do okay as long as you give them the right amount of excersize when you are home, and as long as the individual dog you have or are looking at isn't overprotective or anxious. It should also be housetrained :)
A fellow dog lover.
A dependable dog to keep home alone, such as if you work and aren't home until later, one of the best dogs have to be the basset hound. They are sweet, very loyal, and very obedient and easy to train. My sister has one, works from 5 in the morning until 5 at night, and the dog just basically sleeps until she gets home, but for puppy basset hounds, a wire cage is reccomendable. Not a box and lock cage, but kind of like a play pen. Affordable, and very easy to put up, and useful. You can use it for any animal also.
i suppose any dog if it's calm. it's best not to leave a giddy and hiper dog alone as it may trash your house. make sure your dog does it's buisness before you go as it will have to go to the loo while you're gone. Little dogs like jack russels are quite hiper so best to keep them with you. however big, calm dogs like golden retrievers should be alright to keep alone for a while. If you are dying to keep a dog alone, it's best to have an older dog alone as it can't jump about and make as much noise. When you do keep a dog alone make sure it wont get bored so make sure it has toys to play with.

No breed of dog (or mixed breed) is okay with being left alone for 6-8 hours a day. Besides needing social contact, it will also need to go to the bathroom, just as you probably would need to during a similar time span.
I recommend a golden retriver. They are very friendly and loyal to their owners. My golden is my best friend!

Most breeds in good condition and health will produce another egg within 24 to 36 hours after laying. There are some breeds that will take longer to lay again.

German Shepherds will be good with smaller breeds if they known that dog since early puppyhood.GSDs won't be good with smaller breeds if you stuck that smaller dog with him/her duing his/her adulthood
Not really. The Papillon sheds moderately and there are better breeds to choose from.
