It has a leonberger coloring and a labrador retriever body structure. So I say or think that Riley is a Labrador Retriever mix Leonberger. Just my opinion of what I think he might be.

He's a mixed breed dog. Supposedly he was artifically colored to play the part, but his features seem to be some sort of Leonberger cross.
