Leona is a doing kind of person that likes to help others. She finds that the garden lot is trashed, and so she makes it a priority to clean it up. Then she plants goldenrod in memory of her grandmother.
Leona is brought to the garden in "Seedfolks" because she wants to fulfill her husband's wish of planting a garden after he passes away. She hopes that by tending to the garden, she will feel connected to him and find a sense of purpose and healing.
