What astronomical things did the greeks discover?

Anaximander said the earth was round and measured its circumference, was the first to put forth the idea that celestial bodies make full circles in their orbits, and was the first to conceptualize space as having depth.Aristotle proved the Earth is round.Aristarchus put forth the idea of a heliocentric universe, that is, that the sun is the centre of the universe, not Earth (which at that time suggesting Earth was not the centre of the universe was really really big).Hipparchus came up with a scale to define the brightness of stars (which is still used today). He measured the distance from the Earth to the Moon to be 29.5 Earth diameters (we know today that the real value is 30 Earth diameters). He also discovered the wobble of the Earth's axis.Hypatia, a female mathematician, was the first to prove that Earth moves in an ellipse.
