If you mean you're trying to watch .avi files on a camera that only supports .mov then just render out the .avi in a video editing program to the .mov codec. Not that hard.

Camera RAW is separate program but ships with Photoshop. Camera RAW is originaly created to work with RAW files but with time it become good program to edit JPEG and TIFF files. You can work with photos inside Camera RAW to correct colors and in addition Camera RAW creates masks for you when you want to adjust portion of image.

The camera files use a different file name extension (format) than Windows Movie Maker does. In other words, the camera's files are not compatible with the program. You can either download the K-Lite Standard Codec Package (Google it). Perhaps the codec package contains the one you need to read the camera file. If that doesn't work, download a free video converter from online and convert the camera file to one compatible with Windows Movie Maker.
