this happened to me! My brake lights would be stuck on and i didn't know it! i felt so bad for the people behind me. then one night they stayed on while it was parked in my drive way and the neighbor called the cops at 3:00am because she thought i was stuck dead inside the car! Anyway - you can fix this yourself - you don't have to pay all that money for labor at the dealership! There is a fuse that has to be changed under the steering wheel area. Can't really help ya too much more, my ex-father-n-law crawled under there and fixed it for me!
Check your fuses.
There should be six signal lights on the mystique, two front, to rear, and two sidemarker lights.
Mercury Grand Marquis for one and I am sure there are others that I am not familiar with
Drivers side, last cylinder towards the rear.
You have to pull the gauge assy out and the lights are mounted from the rear. Run1
Yes, it is the same fuse used for the rear brake lights.
fuse is in the engine comaprtment fuse box.
Repair tail gate hatch first.
you are not supposed to get it off but if you really have to try by the trunk just get the carpet off where the lights are get them out ( the lights )and you'll see the brackets
there should be 2 screws above license plate, take the off piece pops off and replace lights
Usually means that all doors (including rear hatch) are not closed securely.
There are not FOG Lights at Rear.
