  • Many students in school can get depressed and sometimes it's the genetics of the individual (if others in the family have a tendency to get depressed); feelings of being left out and ignored by groups of other students; bullied; poor grades; not sleeping well; problems at home or, sometimes with some young people it can be drugs or alcohol (not accusing you.) The best thing you can do is talk to your mother so she can take you to your family for a good physical to be sure there is not any cause for your depression and if not the doctor may put you on medications short term to help you get over the depression and possibly have you see a psychologist. Psychologists are there to listen and study human behavior and they are not there to judge you and they will teach you tools to use so that you look at problems with a more up beat attitude than running away from your problems. Every is highly confidential so you do not have to worry about other students finding out you may be going to a psychologist.
