well it depends how long do u have, if u have no time and ur plates expire soon , im sure if u go the office of the emissions they will work with u tell them ur problem and they will tell u a solution , if not and u really need ur car , just sell it to a friend or family member for a dollar and transfer under their name like that u could still drive it and buy back its going to save u from suspending ur plates and so on but might cost like to 250 to transfer title and plates but its guaranted to save u
