If the check engine light is on go to a place like Advance Auto Parts or AutoZone and have them hook there scanner to your car. The scanner will tell them codes and what exactly is wrong with it as long as its an electrical problem. Remember first, what are the three main things that must happen for an engine to run, one is fuel, then air, and combustion (spark). So make sure the engine is getting adequate air, check the air filter, make sure theres enough fuel, check gas tank, is the fuel filter plugged, dirty injectors, bad spark plugs or coils, ensure the battery is good, alternator charging efficently. Now if the check engine light is on and you checked everything i explained, when you do go to the auto parts store there could be two main sensors that could be shot, one could be the MAF (mass airflow sensor) or ICV (idler control valve), just make sure you fix it, there should be no lincolns left lying around not running and looking good, lets keep the population of Lincoln Continentals alive
A 1978 Lincoln Continental 4 door sedan could be worth $15100 in a high retail situation. Average retail, $6200. Low retail, $3625. It's all about condition and factory options.
possibly your crankshaft sensor or ignition control module
The driving Forces of Continental drift are both gravity and the motion of the underground Tectonic Plates.
It will take roughly about 1 day 3 hours, also depending on how fast you are driving, so possibly sooner.
Year, Make, Model, engine size please. possibly an ignition or sensor (electronic part).
driving from Lincoln,IL
The driving distance from Denver, Colorado to Lincoln, Colorado is 83 miles.
more than likely you have an ignition switch problem or possibly a cam sensor problem. both are relatively easy to change, also inexpensive.
I had a similar problem in my 96 continental to make a long story short one of my door ajar sensors was bad when driving cluster would read door ajar replaced sensor for about 125.00 and havent had a problem sense
Depends on what you're driving. Most cars have gas shocks and some have air shocks. Air shocks are more comfortable, with an automatic leveller, as in Lincoln Continental, in my opinion.
i bet it wouldn't be hard to put the headlights on the radeo power that comes on when the ignition is on...
Immediately after you finished your last drink and turned on the ignition in your car and began driving.
