It depends what sort of crime you do. If you rob somebody you will be put in prison.
More than likely you will be arrested by cops and thrown in jail; however, if you commit a felony (such as murder, rape, genocide, etc) then you could be sentenced to death

∙ 10y agoThe information is reported to the police. A police report is made. An investigation is conducted. If you are identified you may be arrested. If the District (or State's) Attorney decides to prosecute you, you will be brought to trial. If you are found guilty you will be sentenced to fine, prison, probation, or all of the above.
^^ The above only applies IF the crime is reported to or discovered by the police... if not, then nothing happens.
