Windows 8 does not need to be connected to the internet, it will still function perfectly well, however you will not have access to updates that Microsoft distribute from time to time. You will not be able to send or receive e mail etc. You will not have access to social media and your favourite web sites.

∙ 10y agoWindows 8 is an operating system, which functions as the underpinning for all your computer's applications. therefore, items such as word processing programs and such will function under Windows 8, whether you are using internet or not.
