What can help my 98 grand am it starts n shuts off within 2 to3 seconds ive tried the fuel filter and put another steering column in and tried resetting the anti theft device anyone have any sugges?

It could be the computer which controls your engine. That happened to my 97 Grand Am, and it ended up shutting down in the middle of the road.
