I have grown up around horses and it is the understanding of myself and people i work with that horses can not eat meat as they can not digest it. horses can eat a majourity of things including hay, apples, oats, carrots and horse feed bought from stores. Horses cannot eat many things,too. If a horse eats too much than neccecary, then he/she will get sick. Also if your horse eats too much human food like sweets, or salty things, he/she will get sick.

Any large predator could possibly eat a horse if given the chance. But, in the wild the predators that attempt at hunting horses are mountain lions & bears.
