The moon is not man made
There are actually no man made structutres you can see from the moon.
No man-made structures on Earth can be seen from the Moon. The moon is too far away to see anything on Earth, aside from clouds, some continents and (mostly) ocean. See the picture I have included in the related links below for an example.
only on wednesdays
The Great wall of ChinaThe Great wall of China can be distinguished from high orbit of the earth, but not from the moon (verified below see related links). This is a common myth. There are NO man-made structures that can be seen from the moon! The myth of being able to see the Great Wall from the moon originated in Richard Haliburton's book Second Book of Marvels in 1938. It stated that the Great Wall of China is the only man-made object visible from the moon. Note the date? It was long before man set foot on the moon. NASA states, "The Great Wall of China can barely be seen from the space shuttle, so it would not be possible to see it from the Moon with the naked eye.
The moon is ridgy and bumpy. It has craters, mountains, and valleys, much like Earth. That is why you can see the man on the moon. So no the moon is not smooth.
If you are on the moon at the time of "New Moon", and you are facing the earth, you see a "Full Earth". If you stay up there a while, and call your partner on earth every day, and you describe to each other what you're seeing, you'll notice something very interesting: The part of the moon that HE sees, plus the part of the earth that YOU see, always adds up to a complete circle of illumination. Each of you sees the part of the circle that the other one is missing.
As it orbits the Earth there are times it can see the moon and there are times when it is on the opposite side of the Earth to the moon, so it can't see it.
The phases of the moon as it orbits the earth
The human body is made to relate to gravity. When standing on a body of mass, whether it is the Earth or the Moon, we will automatically look up to the sky. Our internal balance and the brain make the association.
We see a crescent moon.
We can see the moon because it reflects sunlight to Earth.
No, the moon is made of rock and dust and is not a reflective surface. You can not see the Earth reflected off it.
