Its a thin paper that you can see through - to trace. Its the same kind of thing as baking paper. Usually you put it on top of the paper you want to trace, and hold it up against a bright window so you can trace the design. Try Scrapbooking shops or shops that sell materials etc to find it. Ask your shop attendant if you cant find it.

∙ 13y agoYou use it for tracing the outline of something you place it over! for instance a picture in a magazine or an old work in a museum or church if you can get hold of it. you trace the outlines throught the paper and then fill in the details yourself

InstructionsThings You'll Need:- Paper
- Ball of white beeswax, one inch/2.5cm in diameter
- 1/2 pint turpentine
- Container large enough to fit the paper
- Wire rack
- Step 1:
Prepare a container large enough to fit the paper.
- Step 2:
Place the beeswax in the container and add the turpentine. Allow the beeswax to dissolve.
- Step 3:
Dip the paper into the dissolved mixture.
- Step 4:
Saturate the paper and lift out.
- Step 5:
Allow it to dry flat, for 2 to 3 days, on a wire rack.
- While it is easier to go and buy pre-made tracing paper, this is a fun DIY project to see how it is possible to be self-sustaining and resourceful.
- If kids help make the paper, supervise usage of the turpentine.
