Most people do not require additional virus protection for their Macs. Mac OS X is not invulnerable to viruses but it is much more secure than Windows. I have used Macs for a number of years without any issue, without additional virus protection.
None
Just from the first part...it is possible from getting the virus when you downloaded but the chances are very low for a Mac.
Nope. Any operating system(mac, Linux, etc.) can get a virus but just like any other program, the virus has to be made to target that operating system. A windows virus won't run on a mac and a mac virus won't run in windows. Since windows is the most popular OS for desktop use, the majority of viruses target it, and thus windows users are at greater risk of getting a virus, but a mac user or a Linux user can get a virus as well if they're not careful.
Norton carries very good anti virus programs that can be used for PC as well as the i-mac. Spyware and Mccaffee also carry protection for both i-mac and PC. Visiting these sites you can weigh your options in the type of protection that you are looking for based on the type of browsing that you do. Lately there have been great services for a small amount of protection that is free of cost or a lot of protection for a small cost.
No antivirus does not come with Mac. You can purchase the antivirus software with your Mac but because Macs are less likely to get virus the antivirus software is not really needed but can be purchased to be safer or backup your computer.
Linux- Free Virus-proof faster more secure Mac- Virus-proof more secure
Hp makes great computer but I definitely prefer a Mac. As a former pc user, Macs are so much easier and more low-maintenance because they never get virues! No need for anti-virus protection is GREAT.
There are no mac viruses and if there were, no
No
Well, I would recommend purchasing Mac computer products from Future Shop because they offer a variety of products in that area. They also offer their products for an incredibly reasonable price. Employees there can also offer tips and advice to customers for a fee of no charge.
No, Google Chrome will not allow viruses into your Mac (to the best of its abilities, but most likely no since there is no known virus for a Mac yet).
