If your brakes are dragging enough to kick on trans light, you need to take in for service before you burn out a transmission. brakes are life or death, take this to a pro, your car your responsibility, vehicular homicide tough charge to beat because of negligence
The light is flashing because your trans is displaying that there is a fault with the trans itself. Need to have a qualified tech read the code from the trans I had the same problem. The tranny shop replaced the shift position sensor and the problem was solved. As stated above, you need a transmission shop to diagnose it with there diagnostics computer.
According to the owner's manual, the light is flashing because the transaxle has an electrical problem. Continuing to drive with it in this condition could cause damage to the unit.
You dont
unplug 9-wire connector for neutral safety switch on side of trans, and look for broken or corroded terminals
you have a problem with your transmission. take it to a shop before ya need a wrecker to come get it. the light flashing on shift handle is to specifically tell you there is a problem, if not flashing it is fine.if flashing it has a big problem
at the abs pump. you brakes will now react normally, but your abs light will stay on
Basically fix the problem with the brakes, check to see that the fluid is full and if it is you need to get the complete brake system checked out.
As long as it is out of gear and the brakes are off.
Disc brakes do not require adjustment like drum brakes. They are self adjusting by design.
usually clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, oil in the tranny bad, or the clutch pedal needs to be adjusted. The other thing off the top of my head is that the brakes may be dragging. it is not the most likely problem. hope it hellps. duboff
