If the replaced parts are still in your possession you can take them to another licensed mechanic for a second evaluation. If not, next time you may want to get a second opinion prior to having the job completed.

"Feeling" and "Knowing" are two major differences, without the parts you have noway to verify or prove. So unfortunately the opportunity to take action may have been lost already.
