∙ 10y agoOnly illuminate areas where is necessary and replace streetlights that send light up in to the sky with streetlights that re-direct light downwards. It is also recommended that you turn your house lights off in the middle of the night.

∙ 10y agoOne good way to reduce light pollution is by shielding street lights so that they re-direct light downwards, rather than up into the night sky. Also, at night, turn off all unnecessary lights in the house to stop light trespass (when unwanted light enters another one's property).
