- You have admitted you realize your best friend thinks of you as just a friend. Love does hurt and it is common as we cannot win them all. You could try asking your best friend out on a date to see what she says. Sometimes there is a communication gap and she may have got of waiting for you to express your feelings. However, if she declines going out with you then you are going to have to accept her answer. You may well have to move away from the friendship with her in order to get some control back in your life. Go out with friends and date often without high expectations. There is someone special out there for you.

No. I would arrange to do some things with Friend #1 and other things with Friend #2. You can split your time between these friends (and others) as well as time alone. If friend #1 asks you to dump friend #2, then you would have to think long and hard about what kind of a friend #1 is to ask you to give up other people for him. (unless friend #2 is the kind of friend who gets you into trouble or wants you to do things you KNOW are wrong....then friend #1 is being a GOOD friend by warning you.)
